EVA Formosa Plastics 7470M (Taiwan)
EVA Formosa Plastics 7470M (Taiwan)
Product Introduction EVA Formosa Plastics 7470M from Taiwan is an ethylene‑vinyl‑acetate copolymer with relatively high VA content (typically 26%). It is crosslinkable, featuring high transparency, chemical resistance, excellent flexibility, high elasticity and favorable foaming performance. It is especially suitable for applications requiring elasticity and low‑temperature resistance.
Main Applications
Foamed Shoe Materials: Its classic and major application field. Commonly used for soles and insoles of sports shoes and casual shoes. It is also applied for sound‑insulating boards and gymnastics mats.
Wire and Cable: Suitable for insulation layers and protective sheaths of wires and cables, especially for halogen‑free flame‑retardant cables.
Hot‑melt Adhesives & Binders: High VA content delivers good bonding performance. It is used to produce hot‑melt adhesives for book binding, packaging, woodworking and furniture edge‑banding.
Toys: Applied to manufacture soft toys, children’s toys and amusement‑facility components, where safety and durability (non‑toxic and odor‑free properties) are critical.
Packaging Materials: Used for composite films, packaging bags and food packaging films, providing excellent sealing performance, transparency and buffer protection.
Industrial & Engineering Components: Used for automotive interior parts, sealing elements, buffer gaskets, sound‑insulating and thermal‑insulating materials in construction industry, as well as consumer goods.
Other Fields: Also includes medical devices such as medical catheters and packaging materials, inks, and carriers for additives / color masterbatches.

Processing Technology
Injection Molding Used for manufacturing industrial components, consumer goods, toys and other articles. Recommended barrel temperature: 150‑200°C Recommended mold temperature: 20‑40°C Specific parameters including injection pressure, holding pressure and cooling time shall be adjusted and optimized according to product structure, mold design and equipment conditions.
Extrusion Molding Used for films, sheets, wire‑cable sheaths and other extruded products. Recommended extrusion temperature: 120‑180°C Ensure uniform temperature in each zone of extruder to avoid overheating or insufficient heating. Screw design: Gradient‑type screw is recommended.
Blow Molding Used for hollow containers and similar products. Recommended blow‑molding temperature:130‑180°C Blowing pressure and speed shall be well controlled to guarantee product quality.
Foaming Molding It is a very important and common processing method for foamed articles such as shoe soles and padding materials. Chemical foaming agents e.g.AC series and chemical crosslinking agents e.g.DCP or BIBP are usually added during processing. Crosslinking agents improve foaming behavior and mechanical properties of foamed products. Processing temperature shall match the decomposition temperatures of foaming agents and crosslinking agents. Compression foaming or injection foaming processes can be adopted.
